Operations Officer

Christopher L. Shropshire serves as operations officer of the Leadership Academy Network, a partnership between Texas Wesleyan University and Fort Worth ISD to manage the District’s Leadership Academy schools.

In a newly established position in Texas Wesleyan’s School of Education, Shropshire oversees contractual relationships and provides support to campus principals while monitoring overall operations at the five PK-8 campuses. He is responsible for Leadership Academy Network budgets, assessment logistics as well as contract negotiations and maintenance.

Known as a visionary educator and strategic thinker, Shropshire has more than 12 years of experience in K-12 and university settings. His prior work with school boards and leadership teams to implement strategic initiatives through aligned operational and governance structures resulted in sustained student growth and improved achievement for networks of schools. Before joining the Leadership Academy Network, Shropshire oversaw charter school systems sponsored by universities in Michigan. 

Shropshire holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwood University. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the executive cohort of the higher education administration program at the University of Alabama.
