Whitney Clark is academic officer of the Leadership Academy Network, a partnership between Texas Wesleyan University and Fort Worth ISD to manage the District’s Leadership Academy schools.
In a newly established position in Texas Wesleyan’s School of Education, Clark is responsible for maintaining a culture of instructional excellence, high student expectations and social-emotional support for the five PK-8 campuses. She works with instructional coaches, monitors and customizes implementation of curriculum, coordinates development of assessment processes and assists in the creation of annual school improvement plans.
A longtime administrator, instructional specialist and teacher for Fort Worth ISD, Clark most recently served as principal for Mary Louise Phillips Elementary School. Over the course of her career, she also was an assistant principal at Kirkpatrick Middle School, a learning network specialist and a teacher at Eastern Hills High School.
Clark has a bachelor’s in education from Baylor University and a master’s in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
