Ever feel like a fish out of water when it comes to getting in the pool? If you've always wanted to learn how to swim, but don't feel quite comfortable in the water, Sigma is offering free adult beginner swim lessons to Texas Wesleyan students, faculty and staff.
The two-day lessons will be offered on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30 from 1-3 p.m. at the TXWES pool inside the Sid Richardson Center. You'll need to attend both days to register.
You'll learn life-saving skills to help prevent drowning, plus get tips on balance, buoyancy, floating, breathing and most importantly — how to have fun! You can learn more about what to expect by watching Sigma's YouTube videos.
The free class is offered through a grant from the USA Swimming Foundation.
