The Texas Wesleyan Alumni Association is proud to announce that Jon Reneau '94 will receive the 2024 O.D. Bounds award at the Alumni Medal Awards ceremony on Nov. 1.
Jon attended Texas Wesleyan University from 1990-1994 where he received a degree in Finance and Economics and was a member of the Men’s Basketball team.
While attending Texas Wesleyan, he interned at a box manufacturing company, Pollock Packaging, each summer. There, Jon learned the industry from the ground up, starting out in the plant and then learning to run most of the machines, all before the age of 20.
Jon worked at Pollock from graduation until 2002 when he decided to begin his own box manufacturing company, Titan Corrugated, Inc. Approximately 10 years later, he also started up a box distribution company, All Boxed Up, Inc. Jon and his associates grew Titan to be one of the largest independent box manufacturing companies in the Southwest, and were pioneers in robotic technology in the box manufacturing sector.
In December of 2022, the decision was made to sell both Titan Corrugated, Inc. and All Boxed Up to Universal Forest Products. Jon remained on as the head of Corrugated Box Manufacturing for a little over a year and retired in early 2024.
In 2022, Jon and other Texas Wesleyan basketball alumni worked with the advancement office to form the Runnin’ Rams Legacy Club, a booster club designed to provide support for the basketball programs and engage basketball alumni. The support of the group has led to improvements to the basketball program, including a digital scoreboard for the Sid Richardson gym.
Jon has been married to the same wonderful woman, Jenny Reneau, for 27 years and is the proud father of twins, Matthew and Elizabeth Reneau. He attributes much of his success to the education he received from Texas Wesleyan University, and especially the guidance of Mr. McLain, Dr. Klaasen, and Dr. Ritter.
