Amy Tate-Almy '95 named alumni relations events coordinator
Amy Tate-Almy, ’95, MDiv, AFC, has been named Alumni Events Coordinator for Texas Wesleyan University. Amy worked for the university immediately following graduation before enrolling full-time at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. An ordained United Methodist Deacon and Accredited Financial Counselor, Amy’s career has included working for the Fort Worth Standing Chapter 13 Trustee Office prior to starting her own ministry called Money Matters Ministries, comprised of counseling/teaching contracts with numerous Chapter 13 Trustees across the country. In addition to Money Matters, Amy spent nine years as part-time Associate Pastor at City Point UMC and, most recently, as a Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator at Texas Health Mansfield.
Amy is thrilled to “come home” to Texas Wesleyan where she started, and cannot wait to dive into planned events while envisioning new ones. As a “people person,” she is most excited about the opportunity to meet alumni and involve them in opportunities that personally motivate them. Amy has vast experience in coordinating mission trips and service projects and hopes to really take the pillar of “Engage Community” to heart. Amy has been married to Mike for 22 years and they have one son, Lucas, who recently moved to New York City. In her free time, Amy loves dabbling in her artwork, spending time with family and traveling.
