Trina Bristol ’93 is celebrating her 25th TXWES anniversary. At this year’s Alumni Reunion, from April 19-21, we're honoring the classes of 1948, 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2008 and 2013, but all alumni are welcome to be a part of the weekend festivities.
Trina lives in Arlington, where she is a special education teacher for Arlington ISD. Working in special education, Trina teaches students with different disabilities and she loves it. She's achieved many professional milestones as a teacher and even earned a $5000 Technology through Innovation grant for her students to have their own iPad at school.
Texas Wesleyan University will always hold a special place in Trina’s heart. She met her husband Jim Bristol ’95 in the library in October 1993 and her daughter Lauren currently attends the University.
Trina was drawn to the intimate and family-like atmosphere of Texas Wesleyan. She particularly enjoyed the small student/teacher ratio, the scholarships available and the opportunity to study abroad. Texas Wesleyan played a big part in Trina’s success as a teacher. The development of public speaking skills and the confidence that came with being involved on campus provided her with the necessary tools to be a successful educator.
Thank you, Trina, for representing the Class of 1993. We hope to see you all at the Alumni Reunion, April 19-21.
