Veronica Moreno is a sophomore biology major at Texas Wesleyan University. When Veronica was young, her older sister was a TXWES student and would describe the supportive environment, positive experiences and tight-knit community she found in college. From that point on, it was Veronica’s goal to pursue her education at Texas Wesleyan and create her own positive memories. She is so thankful to be able to make her dream a reality with the help of the Alumni Association Legacy Student Scholarship.
For Veronica, the best part about being a student at Texas Wesleyan University is the family-like community. When students come to TXWES, they can quickly find ways to be involved and feel connected to the University. A student on the cross country and track teams, Veronica is especially thankful for the strong, personal connections she has made with her teammates. Being a part of the RAMily means forming connections that last a lifetime!
If Veronica could give one piece of advice to a fellow Ram, it would be to “take advantage of the readily accessible resources available to students, such as faculty office hours and free tutoring.” TXWES faculty and staff have a well-earned reputation for truly caring about the success of their students and have supported Veronica tremendously on her academic journey.
Veronica is passionate about health and helping others. Her goals and interests have inspired her to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant after she graduates.
