CETL Happenings: New Staff Member, Presentation and More
Welcome New Staff
Please join us in welcoming Sonja Gaddy to the CETL!
Sonja will serve as administrative assistant. Her responsibilities include planning and coordinating CETL events, providing support to the CETL team, as well as, supporting the University's Quality Enhancement Program.
Before joining the CETL, Sonja worked as weekend circulation supervisor and later as a technical service clerk at West library. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Reading. Sonja has been with Texas Wesleyan since spring 2013.
CETL Director to Speak at Luncheon
CETL director, Lisa Hammonds, will be speaking with faculty members of the Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX on February 12. The topic of her presentation is Writing Student Learning Outcomes with emphasis on the creation of significant learning experiences. Engaging students in high energy level classes require faculty to create activities and present information that requires higher-order thinking skills. This talk will offer ways to create enhanced, achievable and measurable learning outcomes.
Staff Series: Successful Time Management
In this session, staff will learn how to use project management tools such as Podio. This is a cloud-based collaboration service that can help productivity within the department.
