CETL Happenings: Campus Trailblazers, Tolliver NMC feature and more
This month, we're pleased to recognize the following Campus Trailblazers for their service to the University. The foundation for the CETL badge system is to recognize professional development and to promote activities in which faculty members offer professional knowledge and skills to the university. Let's all congratulate and thank the following faculty for facilitating workshops, thereby achieving trailblazer status.
- Dr Glady Childs — "Becoming a Teaching Rockstar:Simple Techniques to Engage & Motivate Students"
- Dr. Chris O'Han — "Using VoiceThread to Communicate and Collaborate"
- Dr. Elizabeth Battles, Dr. Carol Johnson, Dr. Jay Brown, Dr. Mark Hanshaw —"Bringing a Global Perspective to Your Learning Outcomes"
After presenting at the New Media Consortium (NMC) Summer Conference this past June, Dr. Adeline Tolliver — CETL's Instructional Technologist — was invited to write and publish her disseration highlights at the NMC blog.
The NMC is best known for its Horizon Reports, a collaboration with Educause Learning Initiative (ELI) that identifies and describe emerging technologies that are likely to have an impact on teaching, learning and creative inquiry in education. The post titled "Rethinking the Captstone Experience" is currently featured on the NMC's blog.
Also, don't forget to join us for our monthly series:
