Two successful events were held in March in honor of Intellectual Disability Awareness month!

On March 1, Evergreen Life Services clients showcased their artwork in the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio & Gallery and were presented with a wonderful welcome reception as well as the opportunity to meet students and staff. Many of the wonderful pieces of artwork was purchased which made for a successful day! Professor Kit Hall did a wonderful job of coordinating and setting up the gallery followed by an opportunity to tour the facility.

The awareness month continued on March 22 with the "How we do it" informational event planned by Disability Accommodations Coordinator Julie Keller who shared information as it relates to software and hardware that is available to students with disabilities and the accommodations application process for request services. Student, Samantha Jo Hawkins assisted Julie with providing some helpful information on tools that can be used in class.

These events were planned as part of the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan.
