Take the Blue Zones Project Personal Pledge
Texas Wesleyan University has committed to becoming a Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite.
Worksite designation requires at least 25 percent of Texas Wesleyan employees take the Blue Zones Project® Personal Pledge. The four-step pledge is easy to do:
- Learn about the original Blue Zones areas.
- Measure how long you will live using the Vitality Compass® tool.
- Participate in a Blue Zones Project activity, such as attending a “Purpose Workshop” or volunteering in your community.
- Select five actions you can complete in the next six months, such as keeping your walking shoes in sight or stock your cupboard with 10-inch dinner plates.
Take the pledge and get your co-workers to pledge as well. Encourage your department to do it as a team building activity and have some fun getting healthy!
Blue Zones Project® is a community-led well-being improvement initiative designed to make healthy choices easier through permanent changes to the environment, policy, and social networks.
