Women in Leadership Forum
The Texas Wesleyan School of Business and the Student Government Association are excited to announce the launch of a new Women in Leadership Forum from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 in Lou’s Place.
The forum will feature a panel of women business leaders, followed by lunch, and keynote speaker Rebecca Brumley of The Red Oak Foundation. This is a great opportunity for reflection, learning, discussion, networking and empowerment.

The forum is free and open to Texas Wesleyan students, faculty and staff on a first-come basis. Registration is required, and will be limited to the first 100 registrants. About the panelists
The forum will feature a panel of women business leaders from the community. Panelists include:

Keynote speaker: Rebecca Brumley, Executive Director & Founder, The Red Oak Foundation
Rebecca Brumley, and her husband John, established the Red Oak Foundation in 1991 to offer scholarship opportunities for students planning to become public school teachers in Texas. Red Oak expanded in 1997 to provide books and a foundation for reading to disadvantaged children. Red Oak Books has given more than 460,000 books through these activities and will give away more than 37,000 books this year to young children and their parents.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has been a leader and advocate for children and youth in education, children's protective services and the juvenile justice system. She has served as superintendent of the Waco State Home, a Texas Youth Commission facility, vice-chairman of the State Board of Education, member of the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards, the United Way of Texas Executive Board, Paul Quinn College Board of Trustees and the Texas Health and Human Services Coordinating Council.
