Come learn about George Orwell's 1984 as a banned book

Eunice and James L. West Library Orientation RoomOn Tuesday, Oct. 3, the library will host the next event of the TXWES reads campaign, a lunch-n-lecture, called "Banned! Censored! Challenged!: 1984's Complicated Relationship with Libraries." This week is banned book week and librarians often talk about how censorship violates a person's right to information. 1984 is one of the most banned books of all time and our presenter, Risa Brwon, will talk about why! Come to the West Library's orientation room during free period. The first 20 students will get a free lunch, or you can bring your own!
