Join West Library during the free period on Thursday, Oct. 31 on the first floor in celebrating the soft-opening of the Adkinson-Lynton Comic Collection!  This project was started over a year ago with generous donations from Drs. Cary D. Adkinson and Eddy J. Lynton of thousands of comic books as well as action figures, movies and TV shows.  West Library has been busy cataloging, preserving, and organizing thousands of items for patrons to research and enjoy!  This soft-opening will display a portion of the collection including titles from publishers such as DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Malibu Comics and many others.

This event will allow users to see the space, ask questions, and because it's Halloween, consider participating in our costume contest.  Dress up as your favorite comic book character, superhero or villain.  The first twenty (20) participants to register will get a free t-shirt with the collection's logo, and the top 3 costumes will win an additional prize.  Sign up here, or use the QR code.
