Join us for a Mitchell-Reed Community of Learners lecture at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the West Library Orientation Room.

Mike Bishop, Associate Professor of Graduate Counseling, will present Me and My Portrait of Dr. BishopGremlin: Addressing Self-defeating Behaviors.  Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do?  Why you feel the way you do?  Why you keep doing self-defeating behaviors over and over again?  We all have a little Gremlin sitting on our shoulder whispering things into our ears lobbying how you should act, think and feel.  No, you do not need medication; it is a common human occurrence.  Come learn how your Gremlin influences you to fail and how to combat its influence in your life, work and relationships.

Dr. Bishop is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University.  He is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) and elected to the Board of Directors of AAMFT.

Brown bag lunches are welcome; light refreshments provided by the Office of the Provost.
