This fall was an incredible semester for the Web on the Texas Wesleyan campus, and now it's time to celebrate everyone who made the successes possible.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Office of Marketing and Communications and Digital Marketing will honor the "Web Content Rock stars" with a catered lunch in the library orientation room from noon to 1 p.m.
If you've finished your Web content training, you fit the rock star definition. Need proof? Just check the binder you received at your first workshop.
Whether you make changes to your website daily or you're still waiting to post your first update, you're invited to the party — all you have to do is RSVP on the event page to save your spot.
The content management system (CMS), which launched Aug. 26, gives faculty and staff the power to shape their department’s website by creating and editing content.
"It's been truly inspiring to see how many people have been empowered by this system," said Elaine Sharpe, Web content specialst. "They're not just using it to make changes — they're actively communicating with current and prospective students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff."
Since August, more than 100 people have completed training for the CMS, and thousands of changes have been made to the website as a result. If you haven't been able to attend a training session yet or still need to complete one of the workshops, more opportunities will be scheduled for the spring semester.
