The Spanish Department commends Guadalupe Perez '14 for being named Castleberry ISD's Elementary Teacher of the Year for the second time (2021-22 and 2017-18)! Perez, a proud first-generation Mexican-American raised in the North Side, graduated from TXWES with a degree in liberal studies with concentrations in Spanish and education. She is now a third-grade bilingual math teacher at A.V. Cato Elementary in Castleberry. Keep up the great work, Lupita!
