Improved faculty and staff parking permits available Aug. 10
Improved parking permits that don't expire will be available for faculty and staff on Aug. 10.
All employees must register their vehicle(s) and obtain a parking sticker to park on campus. The permit should be attached to the lower rear window on the driver’s side.
Full-Time Employees
Full-time faculty and staff are eligible for assigned parking spaces. The new permits will have the assigned parking space number on them as the permit number. This will make it easier for security to see if someone is parking in the wrong space.
This should deter people from parking in an assigned place. If someone is parked in your assigned space, call security to report it and find a space in a student parking lot to park temporarily. Parking in a visitor’s space or another reserved space will result in you being ticketed.
The parking spaces are reserved from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Employees who continually violate parking policies may be required to pay citations, lose parking privileges or be subject to disciplinary action.
All faculty/staff permits no longer have expiration dates. You are able to register two cars at a time for parking permits at no cost. There is a $25 fee per car to register any additional vehicles after the two-car allowance.
If you are temporarily using a car (such as a rental) you may pick up a temporary permit at the Circulation Desk at no charge.
Part-Time Staff and Adjuncts
Adjunct faculty and part-time staff are not eligible for assigned parking spaces, but still need to have a parking permit affixed to your car. You may park in any student lot during the day or any reserved space after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Parking Forms Now Online
You can now access the parking space permit form and vehicle registration form online on both the West Library website and the Service Desk page. Parking permits may be obtained at the circulation desk on the first floor of the library beginning Monday, Aug. 10.
