Fresh off a win at Houston’s WorldFest International Film Festival for his most recent documentary, The Embrace of a Loving God: Encountering Sufism, the article looks at the student-produced series and the importance Hanshaw places on using film and photos to teach religion. “I saw the impact it had on my students,” Hanshaw says in the article. “I began exploring how to use visuals to illustrate concepts in the classroom.”
