At the soon-to-be hottest spot on the Texas Wesleyan University campus and in East Fort Worth, crews are approaching the final steps of construction at Ben’s Triple B – Biscuits, Burgers, Brews.
“We’re heading into the homestretch,” said Ben Merritt, chef/owner of Ben’s Triple B, Fixture – Kitchen and Social Lounge on Magnolia, and Fort Worth Magazine’s 2016 Top Chef, and 2017 Top Chef Master. “We have just a couple of more weeks of construction work to go. We’ll then start the hiring process ahead of a soft opening in March.”
The 3,400-square-foot restaurant will be located at 3016 E. Rosedale St., at the corner of Wesleyan St. and E. Rosedale St. It’s the next restaurant and a brand-new concept for Merritt, who is a rising star in the Fort Worth food scene.
The fast-casual restaurant will feature a full bar, a selection of beers on tap and an all-day menu. Combine that with free WiFi, booth seating with USB outlets and an outdoor deck and you’ll have the perfect spot to study, get work done and grab a bite no matter the season.
In a previous story in on Ben’s Triple B, Texas Wesleyan University Frederick G. Slabach said “Ben’s new restaurant is exactly what we have envisioned for this space. It’s a great location and a great time to be at Texas Wesleyan. Our campus life is thriving and this is going to be ‘the’ place to eat and socialize for students, faculty and staff, and draw patrons from all over Fort Worth.”
