Join us at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 6 in Martin Hall as we honor and remember victims, survivors and families affected by domestic violence. In lieu of candles, attendees can download a candle app, or use the flashlight feature on their phones.
Studies show that approximately 20 people per minute are physically abused by their partners in the U.S. During their lifetime, 1-in-3 women, and 1-in-4 men have experienced physical violence by a partner. Domestic violence affects children, men and women from all races, religions and backgrounds. For more information and resources for domestic violence awareness, visit the Domestic Violence Awareness Project.
Join the Texas Wesleyan Community during the month of Oct. as we stand against domestic violence. If you are interested in speaking at the vigil, or would like more information on how you can help bring awareness to our community and help with events, please contact Ashley Newkirk at 817-531-4923.
