Connie Cervantez has been working with the Upward Bound Programs since December 2017. The students know her as “Ms. Connie.” Connie works as the Administrative Support for both the Upward Bound and the Upward Bound Math & Science Programs. Her job is mostly clerical, attending meetings, assisting teachers during the Summer Component, entering information in the database, mail-outs, letters, and helping where needed. She enjoys working the Academic Saturdays, the Summer Component, assisting on field trips and on the end of year trip. Talking with students, helping them and getting to know them is the best part of her job. She enjoys working with a compassionate Team whose number 1 goal is helping the students succeed. Connie is very proud of the fact that she returned to school and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Studies in 2020. She enjoys traveling, loves the beach, loves to read and most weekends enjoys movies with her husband. One fun fact is that Ms. Connie is a Twin!
