Lisa Gallegos currently serves as the Director for the Upward Bound Programs at Texas Wesleyan University. Lisa is a first-generation college graduate with a B.S. in Sociology from Texas Christian University and a Master’s in Family Counseling from Amberton University. Lisa has worked in each position in the Upward Bound Programs since 2007 and is passionate about helping underrepresented students gain access to higher education. Being a first-generation student herself, Lisa understands and can relate to the population Upward Bound serves. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys who keep her busy. They enjoy watching football together, travelling (especially to Disney), and playing games as a family.
