4 ways to survive November madness

11.01.2016 | By:

It's November which means Thanksgiving Break is around the corner and the end of the semester will be here soon. Now is the time to not lose steam and keep motivated until the very end. Here are four tips on how to stay motivated during the last two months of the semester.

1. Set Goals

Make sure you are keeping up with your due dates for assignments or tests and make goals for when and how you want to complete your tasks. Do not let procrastination be your enemy.

2. Stay Positive

If your grades are not where you want them to be right now, don't lose hope. You still have time to improve your performance and finish out the semester strong. Use self-talk to encourage yourself and keep that 'can do' attitude.

3. Take Care of Yourself

Working hard is important, but don't burn yourself out in the process. Give yourself a small break during your study sessions or plan yourself a reward at the end of the semester upon achieving your goal.

4. Get Help

If you need personal help, talk to friends or family about any issues that may be making this difficult for you. If you need academic assistance, come to the ASC to make a tutoring appointment.
