Social Sciences and Religion department recognizes outstanding students

Social Science Honor Societies, student inductees, Spring 2023

Students at a receptionOn the evening of Wednesday, March 29, the disciplines that make up the Department of Social Sciences and Religion hosted an induction ceremony to initiate worthy students into the honor societies associated with the various disciplines that comprise the Social Sciences and Religion. Recipients met the rigorous academic standards of the respective society and were given certificates as well as distinct honor cords to wear proudly at graduation. The reception was attended by social science faculty, student inductees, family and friends.

Because of their outstanding academic achievement across the disciplines of criminal justice, economics, history, paralegal studies, political science, Psychology, religion and sociology, 37 students were inducted.

In addition, 14 transfer students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement at the university by being inducted into Texas Wesleyan’s transfer student honor society, Tau Sigma.
