Texas Wesleyan History major Alanna James was awarded a Book Scholarship for the upcoming academic year from the Six Flags Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). The presentation took place at the chapter's May meeting/luncheon at the Ridglea Country Club on Saturday, May 5. Alanna will be a senior during the 2017/2018 academic year and is seeking Secondary Teaching Certification.

The Six Flags Chapter awards the scholarship each spring to an outstanding female History student who plans to enter the teaching field.
