Engaging Educator Award: Johnson-Gerendas gets a pop in

05.16.2016 | By:
President Slabach pops-in on Dr. Johnson-Gerendas to present her the Engaging Educator Award and thank her for her dedication to Texas Wesleyan's 2020 Vision.

The Engaging Educator Award goes to professors who go above and beyond to engage their students with research and the community.

Carol Johnson-Gerendas, Ph.D., associate professor of communication and director of the Liberal Studies Program, is dedicated to developing her students' critical thinking skills. This semester, her students mastered Pecha Kucha, an innovative Japanese presentation style in which the presenter must present 20 slides from memory, and has only twenty seconds to present on each slide. As director of Liberal Studies, she dedicates her time and resources to helping students navigate through the program and excel.

Dr. Johnson-Gerendas, thank you for your dedication to Texas Wesleyan and for helping the University reach our 2020 Vision goals.
