About Alpha Kappa Delta
Alpha Kappa Delta is an international sociology honor society, over 100 years old and with more than 115,000 members. The goal of the society is to promote the field of sociology, encourage scholarship, and advance the study of social problems to lead ultimately to improving the human condition. Members of the organization have the chance to network with future employers, add leadership opportunities to their resume and more.
As a student-led organization, members set the agenda and plan events they want to participate in. We have an active membership on campus linked with the Sociology Club. The society undertakes community programs and initiatives, members actively seek out areas where they can make a difference to the lives of others. At the moment they are involved with running the Food Pantry on campus.
