EntrepreneuHER project offering virtual event
The EntrepreneuHER project is a student-led project that is passionate about helping women entrepreneurs thrive in their business. To date, the project has played an integral role in the growth of two businesses and the launch and startup of another. The team is focused on reaching out to a larger audience this semester and developed a virtual workshop event open to women entrepreneurs. This free virtual event is open to the public which features speakers with expertise in legal, funding, marketing and social media and resource opportunities.
Featured speakers include Juanita Edgecomb, local attorney, Callista Gould, entrepreneur and author of The Exceptional Professional, and our marketing and communication experts at Texas Wesleyan University. Marco Johnson, Sparkyard, will present the resources available to entrepreneurs through the network developed by his organization. Rounding out the speaker panel is Holly Burrow, Economic Development Officer with PeopleFund who is passionate about small business start-ups and entrepreneurship and assisting with access to capital.
Mia Moss, founder of Black Coffee, will also be present to speak about her personal business startup journey and the assistance provided by the EntrepeneuHER team to facilitate business success. The final item on the workshop agenda is a call to attendees to apply to be a client of this project in the future.
Online registration is now open on our website and early registration is strongly encouraged. Throughout the duration of the event, raffles will take place to encourage audience engagement and participation. We hope to see you 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. May 7 on Zoom! If you have questions, please email entrepreneuher@txwes.edu.
