About Professor Tolleson
He enjoys teaching Cost Accounting because of its focus on day-to-day applications of accounting, as well as Ethics and Professional Responsibilities. “It helps students to think about the accounting profession’s big picture and how their personal actions impact others and themselves.”
Dr. Tolleson recently had a publication about corporate government issues featured as the outstanding article in Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal. His current research includes studying criminogenics, “how new economy rules change acceptable behavior in corporate board rooms.”
A CPA, Dr. Tolleson is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Institute of Management Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs and American Accounting Association.

Dr. Tolleson enjoys working in his yard and has been playing the piano for more than 50 years. He directs the music and plays the keyboard at his church.
