Mark your calendars! April 10-13, 2023 is the on-site visit for Texas Wesleyan University's 2023 reaffirmation visit from SACSCOC. All faculty and staff not considered remote should plan to be available on campus, should a member of the SACSCOC committee wish to meet with them.

SACSCOC, or the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, is the body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the southern states. All institutions accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Association on Colleges (SACSCOC) are required to undergo a review for reaffirmation of accreditation every 10 years.

To maintain accreditation with the Commission on Colleges, an institution must comply with the standards contained in the "Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement" and with the policies and procedures of the Commission on Colleges. The Commission on Colleges applies the requirements of its principles to all applicants, candidates and member institutions, regardless of type of institution (public, private for-profit or private not-for-profit.)

The On-Site Reaffirmation Committee will conduct a focused evaluation at the campus to finalize their review of the University's compliance with the Core Requirements and Standards, evaluate the QEP and provide consultation regarding the issues addressed in the QEP.

Meeting invites will go out to all faculty and staff. Please plan to attend one of the informational meetings to prepare for the SACSCOC visit.
