The Texas Wesleyan University School of Education (SOE) is hosting a celebration to recognize World Teachers’ Day on Thursday, Oct. 5.

World Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to recognize the rights and responsibilities of teachers, with those in EC-12 and higher education. The School of Education is proud to honor the work of our TXWES faculty, candidates, and alumni! Please join us as we celebrate those who build our youth, families, and society.

Our TXWES World Teacher Day celebration will begin with Dan Waggoner Hall illuminated in blue lights and decorated with blue ribbon, and we will include the official launch of our new logo, TXWES TEACH, with a ribbon-cutting Ceremony by Dr. Messer at 10:45 a.m. “Nacho” Average Teachers Lunch will be served in Dan Waggoner Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The celebration will continue with cookies and lemonade for our SOE Alumni from 4:30 to 6 p.m. We will take an SOE Alumni picture on the porch of Dan Waggoner Hall at 5:15 p.m.

Hope to see you there!
