The 2021 TXWES Alumni Reunion looks a little different this year, and you won’t want to miss this first-ever virtual reunion experience! Reunion 2021 is April 17-24 and features an entire week of fun and informative virtual events, culminating with a performance of the annual musical presented by Theatre Wesleyan. There’s never been an easier or better time to support and reconnect with your alma mater.

Reunion participants will have the opportunity to show their Ram pride throughout the week. Make sure to snag a cool TXWES t-shirt with your reunion registration, snap a picture and post to social media with our tag @txwesalumni. We’ll share your pictures!

Virtual Paint Night hosted by Alpha Psi Omega ($30, $10)
6 p.m. – Zoom
Registration Fee: $30 event access with art supplies, $10 for virtual event access only
Do you need something fun to do on a Saturday night? Well, have we got the answer for you! The Theta Omicron chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre honor society, will be holding another one of their popular paint nights to kick off alumni reunion week. During the event, participants will be shown step-by-step how to create a spring-themed work of art of their very own. Check out our registration options below:
$30- Registration includes all the supplies needed for the paint night (canvas, brushes, paint, etc.) and access to the event Zoom link. Must register by April 4 to receive supplies.
$10- Use your own art supplies and we’ll provide access to the event Zoom link.
About the Artist
Jennye James ’10 graduated with a theatre arts degree and will be leading the paint night instruction from campus.
As a student, she worked on several productions, including La Ronde (Scenic Design), Macbeth (Technical Director), Dr. Chekhov’s Vaudevilles (Scenic Artist), and lighting design for Terra Nova, The Woman in Black, and Working. Currently, Jennye is the Theatre Wesleyan scene shop foreman.
Jennye continues to work on shows in the DFW area. Theatres she has previously worked at include Amphibian Stage Productions, Jubilee Theatre, Theatre Arlington, and Casa Mañana, among others.
Virtual Stretch & Sip hosted by Ensō Apothecary (Free event)
7 p.m. – Zoom
Unwind and destress with this unique interactive yoga and wellness event. Brought to us by Enso Apothecary, one of the newest business additions to the Rosedale renaissance and Texas Wesleyan community, the evening will focus on caring for body, mind and spirit. The event will start with a short and easy yoga class. You can then relax with a beverage and hear from Ensō owner Tamara Johnson as she talks about optimizing your self-care routine holistically.
Transformation TXWES with University President Fred Slabach (Free event)
7 p.m. – Zoom
Join us for the special presentation from President Slabach. He’ll talk about the exciting transformations that have happened on campus in the last decade, and share plans for the future of TXWES.
TXWES Music Department Virtual Concert (Free event)
7 p.m. – Zoom
Tune in to hear a special performance from some of our talented music ensembles. Both our instrumental and vocal programs will be featured.
Ram Sports: Then and Now (Free event)
7 p.m. – Zoom
Join us for a conversation about the TXWES athletics program, looking back on where we’ve been and forward to where we’re going. Hosted by women’s soccer coach Josh Gibbs ‘04, you’ll hear from former coaches and members of the current athletic staff as they reminisce and talk about what’s on the horizon for Ram sports.
Friday Night Live! (Free Event)
7 p.m - Zoom
You won’t want to miss this fun and family-friendly evening of laughter and entertainment! The evening will feature a live comedy stand-up routine and other surprises.
2021 Outdoor Musical - in person and virtual
8:00 p.m. - Kay Granger Mall
Join Theatre Wesleyan as we continue our spring tradition and celebrate some of Broadway’s most popular musicals! Featuring tunes from rock and jukebox musicals, this extravaganza will be presented outdoors on the Kay Granger Mall under the stars, all while maintaining social distancing guidelines.
Grab your lawn chair, bring a blanket, wear your mask and sit back for an evening of the best of Broadway performed by our Theatre Wesleyan students and a thrilling live band.
The production will also be live-streamed for viewing at home!
Theatre Wesleyan has decided to make the viewing of this musical free of charge, but tickets are still required, so be sure to register. If you would like to make a gift to the theatre department, visit the donation site.
Limited tickets are available for in person viewing.
All week long, we’ll be hosting virtual get-togethers from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. for alumni who graduated within a certain decade. You'll have a chance to say hello to other fellow Rams, reminisce about the old days and even win some cool prizes!
