Endowment Support

Endowment Support - $10,500,000

Why Endowments Matter:

Endowments provide donors with opportunities to create living legacies. When you create an endowment, you touch the lives of future generations. When fully funded, your gift is invested and produces annual income to support the endowment’s purpose for years to come. As endowment funds grow over time, they can help even more students or provide larger annual awards.

While cash gifts for current use are vitally important, endowments are the foundation of all great universities. They provide steady support in perpetuity. Funds invested in Texas Wesleyan’s permanent endowment fund enable us to plan for the future with greater predictability than otherwise possible.

Engage. Inspire. Invest. seeks to strengthen the University’s permanent endowment by raising additional funds through newly established endowments including scholarships and fellowships for students, faculty development and research, academic departments, centers, programs and campus facilities.

Donors can establish a fund either with a direct contribution during their lifetime or through a legacy gift, or both. The first step in establishing an endowment is to determine areas of interest and need, such as assisting students with financial aid, support faculty, research or program initiatives.

The funds are invested in the University’s permanent endowment fund, which is overseen by the University Board of Trustees.
