Donor Thank You Video Contest

The goal? To thank Texas Wesleyan University Donors. The prize? You can win up to $300 in Ram Bucks (good for any on campus dining charges) or credit to spend in the TXWES Bookstore. Are you a Texas Wesleyan Student? Are you thankful to University donors for your TXWES experience? Do you know how to shoot video? Then we're looking for you.

The Office of Advancement is holding a video contest through March 31. See below for contest details and requirements.

Content Requirements

Video content should display creativity, spirit, and adhere to messaging, however, that messaging is almost entirely up to you. All we ask is that you:

  • Demonstrate the impact TXWES donor support has had on our University community and for you personally.
  • Share your appreciation for all donors who have supported Texas Wesleyan University.
  • That’s it; everything else is up to you.
Rules

Submissions will be accepted from through March 31, 2023. Each entrant must be the original author of all parts of the video or have permission to use copyrighted material. If the video is the work of two (2) or more people, one (1) person will act as the principal for the submission of the video and acceptance of any prize.  Each entrant must have the consent of all parties displayed and/or heard in video to enter this contest. Students are responsible for any production costs associated with their video.

  • Entrants must be enrolled Texas Wesleyan students during the 2022-23 academic year.
  • Entrants can submit multiple entries, there is no limit.
  • Submissions can be in any style of film or video, including, but not limited to, animation, drama, still art, imagery, comedy or documentary.
  • If filming on a smart phone or tablet, please use landscape mode. (AKA, turn your phone to the side.)
  • Film and video submissions may not contain credits or other references to those who worked on them because judges will initially evaluate each submission without knowing who created it.
  • Submissions must be one (1) to two (2) minutes in length.
  • Submissions must be in English or have English subtitles.
  • Nudity, profanity, or other content deemed inappropriate for the goal of this project will disqualify the video submission in question.
  • Make sure you take some time to read the details in the "Fine Print" section below.

Additionally, feel free to incorporate elements of the University’s official branding. More details here.
