Larry Anfin to receive 2025 Honorary Alumni Award
The Texas Wesleyan Alumni Association is proud to recognize Larry Anfin with the 2025 Honorary Alumni Award. Larry is a recognized business leader and philanthropist in Fort Worth. He serves on the Texas Wesleyan Board of Trustees and is a champion for the university’s students and programs.
At age 14, Larry Anfin started working for Coors Distributing Company of Fort Worth, which his grandfather, John McMillan, co-founded in 1966. Anfin’s first job was in the recycling center, where he worked during summer breaks throughout high school. Anfin worked his way up the corporate ladder, learning all aspects of the business, eventually becoming CEO. In 2014, Anfin and his brothers sold the family business to Andrews Distributing.
Anfin has served on the boards or executive committees of many different organizations, including serving as the past chair of the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. Stage West, Rotary Club of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Big Brothers and Sisters Lone Star. He is the current chair of the Fort Worth Police Foundation, a Wish with Wings, and JPS Foundation.
Larry has been married to his wife, Karen for 42 years. They have four children, Elizabeth, Davis, Sara and Kevin and one grandchild, Mia Catherine.
About the Alumni Medal Awards
Each year, Texas Wesleyan University honors distinguished alumni and friends. Their achievements and contributions are amazing reflections of the University, and we are honored to celebrate and recognize them.
This year’s Alumni Medal Awards Dinner will be held in the Martin University Center on Friday, Oct. 24. The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m.
The event is open to all alumni, friends, family, faculty and staff. Tickets are $60 per person and sponsorship opportunities are available. Register online to reserve your seat, and be sure to check out other homecoming weekend activities as well.
