With 130 years of history under our belt, there’s lots to know about the story of TXWES.
Join us for a look into the university’s archives at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 25 during TXWES Behind the Scenes: A peek at University history. This virtual event will be hosted by Louis Sherwood, university archivist, Nancy Edge, special collections archivist and library science professor, and Risa Brown, university librarian and author of the recently published book Polytechnic Days: The First Decade of Texas Wesleyan.
You’ll see rare photos and memorabilia from important events in TXWES history and hear stories about the people and places that have shaped our institution. From our campus buildings and student traditions (Willie the Ram!) to our connections to the Polytechnic neighborhood, you will experience Texas Wesleyan’s fascinating history and community impact first-hand.
We promise you’ll learn something new about our beloved Texas Wesleyan in this special event. Mark your calendars – this is one you won’t want to miss!
