Members of Congress, including one of our own TXWES alumni, stepped out of the House Chamber and on to the baseball field playing for bragging rights — and charity — during the annual Congressional Baseball Game held Sept. 29 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

Rocking his blue and gold TXWES baseball jersey and cap, Rep. Marc Veasey ’95 played in this year’s bipartisan baseball battle. Ultimately, Veasey’s Democratic team came up short against the Republicans, 13-12.

The Congressional Baseball Game has been a staple in Washington, D.C. since 1909 and has evolved into a fundraiser for Washington, D.C. area charities.
