Ashley's Story

Why Texas Wesleyan?

"I chose Texas Wesleyan because of the small classes and family atmosphere. As soon as I stepped on campus for a tour, I immediately felt at home. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and I automatically knew that I belonged here."

What do you like most about TXWES?

"I enjoy the family atmosphere and professor-student relationships. I love being able to go to my professors for help, advice or just to talk. They know me on a personal level and not just as a number in a class. I don't feel like I would be as successful as I am at Texas Wesleyan if I chose to go to a larger university."

How has Texas Wesleyan had a positive influence in your life?

"Texas Wesleyan has influenced my life in so many positive ways that will impact me forever. It's prepared me with the tools, skills and knowledge to be the best educator I can be for future generations. I feel like I made the right choice when I chose TXWES for my Education degree. My professors and the staff not only care about you as a person but as a teacher as well. Smaller is most definitely smarter."

About North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is on Sept. 14 and is a day for the North Texas community to come together and support their area charities and non-profit organizations. When you give on Sept. 14, you're directly supporting the Wesleyan Fund and important university initiatives. This year, you even have the option to make your pledge a week early from Sept. 7-13.
