Charles Duke ’53 taught music for 40 years in public schools before retiring in 1993. During that time, 62 of his students attended Texas Wesleyan on scholarships. He continues making it possible for students to attend his alma mater through the Charles E. Duke Endowed Music Scholarship.  

  • Endowed scholarships can be established for any amount, starting at $25,000.
  • Approximately 75 percent of the University’s endowment supports student scholarships.
  • Endowed gifts are the foundation sustaining Texas Wesleyan’s future.
