On June 19, the TXWES Sociology Club inspired our RAMily, including students, alumni, faculty, staff and University President Fred Slabach, to gather on Rosedale around the Canafax Clocktower and stand in solidarity against racism and discrimination.

"I am extremely proud of our student leaders," said Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students Dennis Hall, "and I am honored to have helped them execute their vision. The passion and activism of the Sociology Club is something we encourage across our entire student body, and I commend them for their continued commitment in building awareness and inspiring action around injustice."

"This is not the end," noted Texas Wesleyan senior and Sociology Club member Lindsay Bishop. "We can't let this be the end. We are committed to TXWES and the Polytechnic community, and we must continue to lend our voices in the fight against racism and discrimination. We can't revert back."
