Once again, Texas Wesleyan's Smaller. Smarter. campaign is winning big.

The marketing & communications teams received three gold awards in the 38th Annual Educational Advertising Awards for the Global Clasico special event campaign, the Smaller. Smarter. billboards and the 2023 undergraduate television commercials.

The American Advertising Federation Fort Worth Club also gave the 2023 television awards an honorable mention in the 2023 American Advertising Awards competition.

“I am very proud of our in-house advertising team that continues to receive well-deserved accolades for their fantastic work on sharing the Smaller. Smarter. story that shines a light on the unique educational experiences at Texas Wesleyan,” said Alan Liebrecht, vice president of enrollment, marketing & communications. “Year in and year out, our talented and dedicated staff in the Office of Marketing & Communications compete against some of the largest firms in the region. Our small staff shines brightly, taking home multiple awards for the wonderful advertising they have developed throughout the year.”

This brings the total number of awards for the Smaller. Smarter. advertising campaigns, which started 10 years ago, to over 150. The campaign has also helped increase awareness, perception and overall goodwill toward the school among high school students and has aided in increasing freshman enrollment numbers.

The marketing & communications team is looking forward to refreshing the campaign and providing more storytelling into the content to push the brand even further.

We live the brand. You might think that sounds silly, but to us, Smaller. Smarter. isn't just a brand, it's everything we do. It's about more than creating award-winning TV commercials, designing witty billboards optimizing digital ads for the web. It's about creating an authentic experience for students, faculty, staff, friends and beyond.
