The University has hired several new faculty in the last two years, and many have expressed interest in or had questions about our human subjects research review process.

The IRB Refresher workshop is intended for any faculty who wish to brush up on the IRB review process and is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28 during free period from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. in NBC 115. Lunch is provided.

Dr. Kerr will cover the following topics:

• How to determine if/when IRB review is warranted
• How to complete each step of the initial proposal and required training
• How to create student research projects that meet one’s learning objectives AND are feasible to complete in 15 weeks
