Computer Requirements

Your computer and internet connection are two of the most important components for a rewarding learning experience. We want to make sure you have the resources to complete your coursework. Review the requirements below to make sure you have everything you need.

PC Laptop Requirements (including tablets):

• Intel Core 5 minimum, Intel Core 7 processor or better preferred
• Windows 10, 64-bit
• 16 GB of RAM minimum
• 256 GB Hard Drive, Solid State Drive preferred
• WiFi Enabled
• Antivirus software installed (recommended)
• Five-Year warranty (recommended)

Apple Laptop Requirements:

• Apple M1 or newer preferred
• 16 GB of RAM minimum
• Mac OS 12.7.1 (Monterey) or newer
• 256 GB Hard Drive, Solid State Drive preferred
• WiFi Enabled
• Antivirus software installed (recommended)
• AppleCare Five-Year warranty (recommended) 

Note for Chromebooks: While Chromebooks are supported at TXWES for things that run in a web browser, you will not be able to install any additional applications or run executables, which some courses may require. TXWES IT recommends to choose a Windows OS or MACOSX computer for the best experience.
