It’s finally here. It’s time to graduate and you couldn’t be more excited. Finishing college is similar to starting college. There’s a lot to do to make sure all you ducks are in a row. The steps below will guide your through how to ensure you walk across the stage in December and look good doing it.

Submit your graduate application

Hopefully, you’ve already completed your graduation application, but if not, do it this week. This lets us know when you plan to graduate and helps ensure you get all the information you need.

To those graduating in May, you can go ahead and do this now.

Complete courses

Senioritis can be fun to joke about, and let’s keep it that way. It seems obvious, but don’t overlook your last semester. It’s just as important as any other.

Update your address in Ramlink

This is how you receive necessary information from different offices on campus and the Alumni Association.

Complete exit requirements for student loans

These ensure you know everything regarding when and how to start paying back student loans. Did you know that if you’re getting your graduate degree, you may be able to defer your loan payments?

Pay all fees and money due

If you have fees, fines or other money that needs to be repaid, pay them off as soon as you can. You cannot receive your diploma until you have a zero balance.

Sign up for robing and hooding

This is one of the oldest traditions at Texas Wesleyan. This is a great opportunity to thank a professor that has helped you throughout your time here.

Order diploma, cap and gown

The bookstore can help you order the cap and gown. These are often delivered in a bag, so be sure to hang it up and get the wrinkles out before the big day. The registrar will mail your diploma to you or you can arrange to pick it up.

Attend commencement

You’ve worked hard and it’s finally here. Get tickets, invite your family and enjoy it.
