I am excited to announce that the next President’s GEM Award is presented to the marketing and communications team for their exceptional service to the University.
Texas Wesleyan recently won four National Collegiate Advertising Awards, which brings us to a total of 17 marketing awards won since the launch of our “Smaller. Smarter.” branding campaign in 2012.
These awards reaffirm the positive results we are already seeing from their dedicated work. We know that awareness of Texas Wesleyan and the favorability of our image has increased more in the last year than that of any other university in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our large gains in perception and awareness help drive applications and bring new students to campus.
Working with the admissions team, marketing developed and implemented sophisticated, comprehensive communication tracks to follow up and communicate with applicants. The results of these efforts are an increase in overall applications and more completed applications. They are currently working on additional communication tracks aimed at increasing admitted students and orientation attendance.
Marketing and branding will continue to play a key role in the success of the University Strategic Plan. I am proud of what this team has accomplished, and I hope you will join me in applauding their efforts.
