Katherine Rosenbusch made Texas Wesleyan history by being the first Ram student athlete to earn Player of the Week honors from the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC). She is also the first conference award winner for 2013-14. Texas Wesleyan joined the SAC this year, following 10 years in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC).

Rosenbusch, a 6-foot middle blocker from Hutto, led the Lady Rams to a 3-1 opening weekend at the Oklahoma Baptist Tournament with wins over three former RRAC opponents: St. Thomas-Houston, Wiley College and Texas College.

She started the year in mid-season form with 14 kills with a .813 hitting percentage, while adding 4 blocks in the 3-0 win over the Lady Celts. Rosenbusch added 10 more kills while hitting .500 in a 3-0 loss to the College of the Ozarks Bobcats. The middle blocker tallied eight blocks against Wiley in day two of the tournament, and 12 more in the win versus Texas College for a total of 44 kills in the tournament.

Rosenbusch, a senior majoring in athletic training, has been a first team all-conference selection for three straight years.

Other awards include Oklahoma Baptist University teammates Kristin Pressley as Hitter of the Week, Rachel Aguilar as Setter of the Week and Valerie Stetzer as Libero of the Week.
