Cassandra Ifie has joined Texas Wesleyan as the new reference & instruction librarian at the Eunice and James L. West Library. In her new role, she assists students, faculty and staff with navigating the research process as well as engaging in liaison activities and collection development.

"We are excited to have Mrs. Ifie join the Faculty at West Library. Her world outlook will be an asset to our students, " Elizabeth A. M. Howard, director of Eunice & James L. West Library, said. "She is bringing great plans for faculty and student outreach to the Library and University community."

Ifie has served in academic, public and school libraries for more than a decade. Most recently, she worked at Mississippi Valley State University as Reference Supervisor/Instructional Coordinator.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Cassandra earned a master's degree in library science from Texas Woman's University.

A "foodie" at heart, Cassandra enjoys trying new restaurants, blogging and exploring new places with her husband. Over the past six years, she has spent brief stints living in Western Africa, Amsterdam, Virginia, California and South Carolina.
