Mitchell-Reid Commmunity of Learners, poetry edition

Join us for a Mitchell-Reid Community of Learners poetry event from 12:15-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, on the first floor of the West Library.

Alumna Michelle Hartman '07, Dr. Jeffery DeLotto, and Alan Gann will be reading from their works. Bring your lunch and the Provost Office, our co-sponsor of the Mitchell-Reid Community of Learners, will provide refreshments.

Michelle Hartman '07 has written multiple books of poetry. She is Pushcart Nominee, editor of the award-winning journal, Red River Review, as well as a past president of the Dallas Poets Community. She is the author of Irony and Irreverence and Disenchanted and Disgruntled

Dr. Jeffery DeLotto has been a faculty member at Texas Wesleyan for 25 years where he teaches writing and British literature. His poems, essays and stories have appeared in numerous magazines, journals and anthologies. His publications include Voices at the Door, Days of a Chameleon: collected Poems, and Voices Writ in Sand: Dramatic Monologues and other Poems. 

Alan Dann has written his first book out form Lamar Press, The Clumsy Juggler. He has worked with Big Thought and is currently reaching at the Can Academy.
