Take part in a Texas Wesleyan tradition at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, in the Polytechnic United Methodist Church sanctuary and meet the new pastor, Rev. Judy Richmond ‘70.
Rev. Richmond grew up in the United Methodist tradition and comes to the church as a 30-year lay leader at Handley United Methodist Church and a former pastor of Watauga UMC and DeLeon UMC.
Wesleyan Sunday is a special time of worship when Polytechnic United Methodist Church and Texas Wesleyan come together to celebrate the historic Methodist roots of the University, as well as its ongoing relationship with the Church.
This service will feature a word of welcome from President Frederick G. Slabach, the Wesleyan Chorale Singers, a brass ensemble and guest speaker Quentin McGown ‘79, JD ‘00.
McGown is a Fort Worth attorney with a lifelong interest in history. He is an associate judge in Tarrant County Probate Court No. 1, and graduated from Texas Wesleyan with degrees in theatre and law.
There will be a reception in Bragan Fellowship Hall following the service.
